Elytra ( Jewel beetle wing) earrings

Made with beetle wings ethically sourced from Thailand, where beetles are a local source of food, and the wings are gathered after harvesting. They change colour subtly with heat. I spoke to an entomologist friend who suggested this may be a way to become undetectable to prey as they move and bodies heat up.

Loop Earrings

Sterling Silver cube with square rubber. The design plays with the architecture of the ear, or "earchitecture" as I like to call it. They sit front and back of the earlobe with the twist in the rubber. Minimalist in style & very durable, passing the 'handbag' test. The loop design came about when applying the same technique to the rubber as used to style my fringe.
