Where is the observer and where is the observed?

I endeavour to be contemplative. Time, and the changes that come with it, interests me a lot. Whether physical or emotion, the landscape is always shifting – from sanguine to melancholy, forlorn to joy. I always try to immerse myself in nature, and am forever responding to it.

I grew up in a creative household where it was very natural to make things. I guess it started there, and that’s mostly all I ever did. After that, there was school, university, and studying with Tibetan and Bhutanese artists. Looking, watching others work, and soaking in all I can, I’m still learning.

I’ve had many influences in my life, but the strongest seem to be my Buddhist studies and my years living in Asia. Those aesthetics seems to run unconsciously through my work.
