I am interested in the interconnectedness of the body and its environment.

My work tends to be pared back and geometric to accentuate the material qualities, presence, weight, light and shade; and how these elements resonate with each other. My new works consider how the experience of wearing jewellery can be personalised by the ephemerality of the natural environment.

I grew up in the Huon Valley overlooking the river, nestled amongst the bush in a wooden house made by my master-craftsman father. He first taught me how to enamel. I began making jewellery more than 12 years ago, followed by a variety of courses and masterclasses, including a short course at Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School in Florence, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tasmania.

I am a multi-disciplinary creative who applies a similar philosophy and approach to all areas of my practice, including as lead designer of the Dark Mofo festival.
